Old Barn

Barns have a definite personality. Some are smarmy and conceited, others destitute and abandoned. Old abandoned barns are best. All pretenses are erased and what’s exposed is the soul of the place. With nothing left to hide the history of the place exudes and if you take some time to breathe and listen you will be transported back in time.

This barn is located in La Conner and she had a lot to say!

  1. Reblogged this on A passionate photographer, with nature in his heart and commented:
Old barns always attract a lot of people, me to, but sadly enough there are not that many old barns here to photograph.
Everything that is older than a certain age or standing in the way, is or will be torn down.
So it’s looking for a needle in a haystack if you like to photograph one…

So I’m very happy to see a post like this, good photos and nice thoughts.

I hope you will enjoy them as well!

      • Yes, it’s sadly been about 10 years and I had forgotten how beautiful it was. I am going to definitely go this year. I used to be a professional photographer in California, but I have been in school the past 6 years, and seeing your incredible photographs made me realize I need to take some breaks and go explore again with my camera.

      • In Education. My focus in on Asperger’s Syndrome research and providing all students learning strategies based on their learning styles, so that hopefully people can start seeing past labels and begin focusing on the individual instead.
